IRENE BADAJLA 1915 -2002 Peacefully, on April 18, 20O2 at Riverview Health Centre, Irene Badajla passed away with her family at her side. Irene is survived by her son George (Linore) and grandchildren, Christopher (Violetta) and Noreena (Peter). Irene also leaves her dear sisters, Lena Hretzay, Nettie Kyliuk (Bill) and Rose Molaro; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to nephew Elmer for his time during his aunts illness. Irene was predeceased by her parents, William and Anne; husband George; son Harold; sisters, Mary, Dora, Olga, Anne and brother Metro. Mom was a longtime member of Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, past member of church choirs and ladies auxiliary committees. Special thanks to Riverview Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion. Prayers will be conducted by Rev. Deacon Gordon Mendres on Friday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt St. at Munroe Ave. with Rev. Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
