WILLIAM PETER KUCHAR Born December 31, 1938 in McMunn, MB, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, (William) Peter, of congestive heart failure and complications of diabetes at the age of 63, at St. Boniface Hospital on Saturday, April 13, 2002. His passion and devotion for his family will live on in the lives of those he left behind. He will forever be remembered by his beloved wife Lillian of 39 years; his daughter Carolyn; his son Darren; his cherished grandson Derek; his father Steve; his sister Mabel (Len) McCormick; brother Mike (Paula) father-in-law and mother-in-law Stanley and Tillie Yanisiw; brothers-in-law, Joe (Pat) Yanisiw, Bill (Barb) Yanisiw; sisters-in-law, Mary (Ted) Edwards, Shirley Yaroshinski, Diana Yanisiw, Elaine (Brian) Hoover, Sharon (Fern) Laurin; and numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Millie in 1984. Peter worked with the City of Winnipeg (GWWD) for 29 years following in his fathers and grandfathers footsteps, until early retirement in August 1995 due to his illness with diabetes. During his retirement Peter did what he liked best, going with his grandson to the store for paper and gum, fishing, walking with his dog Brandy, creative cooking and woodworking crafts, maintaining his lawn, and travelling to music festivals to see his favourite country stars, camping and rodeos and the many other activities that he loved. Prayers will take place on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m., Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m., Reynolds Community Hall, Prawda, MB, with Pastor Jerry Spoor officiating. Interment will follow at St. Marys Riverside Cemetery, Prawda, MB. Pallbearers will be Ted Edwards, Bill Yanisiw, Len McCormick, Wayne Kulczycki, Norman Nakka, and Daniel Mastaler. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Fredette for his care and concern during this difficult time.
