IRIS CANNON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iris Graham Cannon (Smith) on April 15, 2002. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Harry; and their children, Brian Cannon (Norma), Gail Burfoot (Ken) and Brenda Cannon. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Corey (Karin), Adam, MacKenzie, Kathleen and Vanessa. She will be sadly missed by her brother, Tom (Jean) and sisters, Margaret and Ruby and her life long friend, Margaret Heron. Although born and raised in Winnipeg, Iris lived in the Maritimes, Quebec, and British Columbia, settling once again in Winnipeg in 1981. Iris love of travel took her to Scotland, England, Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and a cruise through the Panama Canal. Well known in Scottish circles, Iris was not only an avid supporter of highland dance but also a champion dancer in her own right. She was a friend to all she met, giving freely of her time - not only to her family, but also to those who needed a helping hand. Her generous heart and high spirits made her a joy to all whose lives she touched. The family expresses its sincere appreciation to the staff of River East PCH for their caring attention. Iriss life will be celebrated at a memorial service Thursday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main St. A private family interment will be held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Childrens Wish Foundation, Lower Level, 350 St. Mary Ave., R3C 3J2. Although weve lost someone so dear to us on earth, heaven has gained an angel who can teach them all "to run the roads". We love you. Klassen Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 338-0331.
