Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUBIE JACOB On Tuesday, April 16, 2002, Aubie Jacob, died suddenly, surrounded by his friends. Aubie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sophie (Ratner) his children, Ken (Lesley), Harriet (Teddy) Lyons, and Hersh (Ally) grandchildren, Sean, Jonathon, Hart, Mara, Sami, Tai, Aviva, Ran and Kezi; his brother Itz and sister-in-law Rose; his sister Sos and brother-in-law Harry Plattner; sisters-in-law, Minnie Karlinsky, Molly Secter, Bessie and brother-in-law Morris Whiteman; and many loving nieces and nephews. Aubie was born in Winnipeg on June 19, 1919. In his earlier years he studied under Fitzgerald at the Winnipeg School of Art. Aubie worked in the garment industry as a fashion designer for over 50 years. In his retirement, he tirelessly volunteered his time playing concerts at various senior residences and organizations. In that way he enjoyed giving back to the community his love of life. His legacy of music, art and laughter will live on in his children and grandchildren. He will never be forgotten but so painfully missed. And he will be there in our hearts, always and forever. Rest in Peace, dear Aubie.
