J. DONALD JOHNSON Don, aged 69, beloved husband of Georgina (Jo) Johnson died at St. Boniface General Hospital Monday, April 22, 2002 with his loving family by his side. Don was born in Russell, MB, the son of Raymond and Edna Eileen Johnson. He will be remembered and his memory deeply cherished by his wife Jo; daughter Tracey, her husband Dale and light of his life, granddaughter, Kelly Ann; son Jim and his wife Valerie. Also remembering Don are his sister Gerry (Alf) Mather; twin sister Joyce (Tom) Hobbins; his many relatives, nieces, nephews and good friends. Don started working as a plumber before becoming an instructor at Red River College in the Plumbing and Steamfitting department. He retired from the college after 22 years of dedicated service. He was also active in the community as a soccer, baseball and hockey coach. But the joy of his life was time spent at his cottage on Lake of the Woods, canoeing, fishing, puttering, visiting and having fun with his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Ample parking available at the rear of the building.
