GUY LALIBERTE Suddenly, on Monday, April 22, 2002, Guy Laliberte passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 71 years. Guy is survived by his wife Fran; children, Sherry, Lea, Pat, and Lisa; and by his grandsons, Branden and Dawson. Born in Sherbrooke, QC, Guy enjoyed a long career in the hotel industry, managing hotels in Minaki, Brandon and Thunder Bay. For 20 years, he managed the Assiniboine Golf Club until his recent retirement. His participation will be missed at the annual Grey Owl Tournament which was the highlight of his year. A graveside committal service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave., on Friday, April 26, at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Guys memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
