Date of Passing: Apr 23, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND JOSEPH LANDRY It is with very deep sorrow and sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing to our Lord of our dearest husband and father, Raymond, on April 23, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 81. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Aurore, of 56 years; his daughter Claudette (Bob) and his son Robert; his loving sister Antoinette "Dolly" Fuss; nephew Richard (Susan) and niece Karen (Ron) his brother-in-law Fernand Champagne (Doreen) and their children Diane (Roland), Paulette (Murray) and Renee (Rob) also his niece through marriage Patricia (Gaetan). Dad was predeceased by his father Olivier and mother Arthemise (Matte) his brothers, Roland and Richard Landry; his nephew Garry Fuss; and brother-in-law John Fuss. Dad was such a wonderful and caring person, and so unique. He possessed such a quick wit and sense of humour that escaped no one - which was always reflected in his eyes and smile. All you had to do was to look into those sparkling blue eyes of his, and youd see all that he was feeling. Family was important to Dad, and he was always there for us, his many relatives and friends, ready to give a lending hand. Dad was an artistic person, and he had a great love for both music and art. He also enjoyed nature, watching the birds and animals. His love of dogs was renowned, and he never got over the death of our family dog, Brandy, his best "buddy", whom he cherished so much. One of Dads most pleasurable moments were spent at our family heritage farm in Morris, MB. It was plain to see that he was so happy there, at peace, reminiscing and remembering all the good and hard times that he experienced through the years with his family and friends. So many memories he had to share with us all, and so many laughs, too! Dad, there is so much more we could say, but our hearts are too full right now. So we pray that you always knew how much we loved and appreciated you, while you were with us. You will always be endeared in our hearts and souls. Your dear memory will never die, but live on through eternity. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Cathedral, with Fr. Isaii Blanchette presiding. His cremated remains will be laid to rest at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Holy Angel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. We love you dad. Rest in peace, till well all be together again, Your loving family. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL HOME 222-3241
