PHIL HARDER 1920 - 2002 Phil passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre. He and his beloved wife Ethel were married for 28 years. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Phil and Sarah and his sister Sadie Clark. Born in Plum Coulee, he was raised there until his family moved to Winnipeg, where he spent the rest of his life. Phil worked for Brotham Paints until his retirement in 1981. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Ethel; one brother Buck (Mary) of Winnipeg and five nieces. His stepchildren, Trudy Alexander (Winnipeg), Joyce McMillan (Bob) of Kelowna, BC, Lorne Knowles (Winnipeg) along with five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Phil loved the outdoors; he and Ethel travelled the countryside as often as they could, as far as southern California. They also had many happy hours for more than 10 years working on a hobby farm near Anola with family and friends. We want to thank all the wonderful people we got to know at 4 West in the Riverview Health Centre who were so kind and thoughtful to us and made Phils last days as comfortable as they possibly could. A memorial service celebrating Phils life will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Ltd. Funeral Chapel located at 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Phils memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. In care of arrangements: EDWARD J. COUTU LTD. 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
