JOY (JOSEPHINE) GALLOP It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother, Joy Gallop, on April 28, 2002 at the age of 82. After a lengthy battle with cancer, Joy died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Left to cherish her memory are children, Sally Carroll (Pat), Rosemary Gallop (Phil), David Gallop (Lea), Valerie Smith (Terry) and Stephen Gallop (Mona) ten grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Gallop in July, 1993. Joy was a loving and caring person and she touched the lives of many people over her lifetime. She had a love for music, flowers, and books. Some of her favourite pastimes were gardening, boating and having fun on the computer. We would like to thank her physician and friend Dr. Brenda Maxwell who was always there for Joy and her family making many visits to her home over the last several months. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Ray Baudry who helped her so much in her final months with his spiritual support and friendship. We love you and will miss you dearly! A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday May 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church at 264 Donwood, North Kildonan.
