AUDREY WEST WEIR (LIVINGSTON) On Saturday, April 27, 2002, with her family at her side, Audrey Weir passed away at Pembina Manitou Health Centre, Manitou, MB. Audrey was born in Morden, on February 20, 1910, and moved with her family to the Livingston family farm near Rosebank. Following her marriage to Donald E. Weir on October 16, 1937, she joined him on the Weir farm at Tobacco Creek. At his death in 1966, she moved to Miami where she resided until her move to the Care Centre in 1993. Audrey was a longtime member of community and church groups in Tobacco Creek, Rosebank, and Miami. She bore lifes challenges with a willful spirit, a lively sense of humour, and a compassionate and loving heart. She took great pleasure in music, her friendships, the company of children, and her family. Besides her husband, Donald E. Weir, Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Livingston; brothers, Bob, Mac and Ivan Livingston; sisters, Edith Cryderman and Barbara Duncan; and nephew Bob Duncan. She is lovingly remembered by son Don (Lenore) Weir; daughter Barbara (Henry) Huber; grandchildren, Bob (Deb) Weir, Janet Wood (Ed Conway), Leanne (Larry) Maykut, Heinrich Huber (Gillian Scarlett), Andreas Huber (Michelle Lischinsky) great-grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Kyle and Kristyn Weir, Kelsey Wood, Mallory and Cameryn Maykut; her sister Beryl Gunderson; sister-in-law, Rhea Livingston; and many nieces and nephews. The family especially wishes to thank Linda Pearce and the staff at the Pembina Manitou Health Care Centre. We are deeply grateful for their care and kindness. Our mother found peace, contentment, and friendship during her years at the Centre. In accordance with Audreys wishes, there will be no funeral. The interment service will be held at Carman Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday, May 2, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Bob Gilbert officiating. Refreshments will follow at Miami United Church in Miami at 2:30 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, a donation in Audreys memory may be made to the Pembina Manitou Health Centre, Box 129, Manitou MB R0G 1G0.
