Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNA TAYLOR Peacefully, on April 28, 2002, with her family by her side, Lorna Ann Taylor passed away at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall. Lorna was born on February 19, 1920 in Prince Albert, SK, the third child of William and Elsie Campbell. She met Henry Alexander (Sandy) Taylor when he was in R.C.A.F. Flight School in the area. They married in 1941 and were stationed at various bases across Canada until 1945. They first settled in Prince Albert then in Stony Mountain where Sandy was employed with the penitentiary service. Her family was very important to her. She was always proud of her husband, sons and grandchildren. She love sports such as baseball and equestrian events. She enjoyed her time at their cabin in Lac du Bonnet. She took pride in her garden and houseplants and was always eager for a good game of Canasta. Tiny but tough, she was a going concern all her life. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Sandy, of Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall; her two sons, Al (Betty) of Stonewall, MB and Wayne (Terri) of Standard, AB; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Pickell and son, Cole of Calgary, AB, Jamie (Dawn) Taylor and daughters, Lauren and Ashley of Norman Wells, NT, Christine (Russell) Lilja, of Calgary, AB and Tom Taylor of Standard, AB; four sisters, Margaret Hambleton, Ruth Jenic, Delphine Ruszkowski, and Esther (Calvin) Beddome, all of Prince Albert, SK; one brother, Gerald (Shirley) Campbell of Victoria, BC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Chad and Phyllis Taylor, Beverly and Joan Taylor, Genevieve and Jim Price, and Dorothy Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall, with Rev. Mary Best officiating. Interment to follow in Stonewall Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice or to Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall. The family would like to thank Dr. Pinniger and staff of Stonewall Hospital and the wonderful nurses and staff of Rosewood Lodge for their care and concern for Lorna over the past four years.
