JULIANA ARCIONI February 14, 1916 - April 27, 2002 Peacefully, after a brief illness, Mom passed away with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years, Andrea; son George (Tanya) daughter Franca McQuiggan (Ross) grandchildren, Justin, Joelle, Joshua, and Andrew; and one sister Bruna; nieces, Lily and Antonietta; and nephew Marino. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Ettore (1957) and Anna (1967) an infant son Billy (1959) and a grandson Jeremy (1979). Mom was a wonderful lady who would help anyone. She loved people and people loved her. Mom loved animals of all kinds. George and Franca tested that when they "rescued" a poor, rain-soaked pigeon and dubbed her Petunia. There was always a menagerie of one dog, various cats, hamsters, turtles, and budgies in our home. Her conviction in her faith helped her in times of trouble. As one of Jehovahs Witnesses, she had a firm hope in Gods Kingdom and the Resurrection. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 1060 Wolever Ave., west side, on Saturday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m. Reception will follow. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Moms name to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped Mom in her last months. Lawrence Baltus of home care, and all the home care providers that came to the house to help Dad with Moms care. The staff at Parkview Place, and the entire staff of Poseidon Care Home, Moms final home. You showed us kindness, compassion, understanding, and gave us strength to face a most difficult time. Also thank you to Mike and Chad of Voyage Funeral Home for being very sincere, caring individuals. It has helped us more than you know. Miss you so much everyday. I cannot believe it's been over 10 years since you passed. Our family hasn't been the same since. You were truly a wonderful grandmother to me. You would be so happy to know that I am a mother now! I think about how happy you would have been to see your great-grandsons. They are so wonderful and I tell them about you all the time. Rest in Peace Nonna. Love Joelle - Posted by: Joelle (granddaughter) on: Jun 19, 2013
