MARJORIE DORIS KENDRICK On Monday, April 29, 2002, "Dodie" passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 90. Mom will be lovingly missed by sons, Richard of Vancouver, Syd (Sherry) of Calgary; and daughter Pat (Felix) grandchildren, Barbara and Sherry (Cory), Dylan, Jarad (Chrissy) and Jason (Amanda) great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ryley, Kylie and Blake; special care givers, Bev and Gail; and special friend Shariff. Mom was born on July 30, 1911 in Bristol, England and came to Canada with her family when she was five months old. She married Conn on August 23, 1941. Doris worked for Eatons as a seamstress for many years and left there to raise her three children. Mom went back to work for Interior Draperies until her retirement in 1976. Mom was a special and caring, loving and humourous lady, and even through different stages of Alzheimers she captured many hearts with family, friends and staff at Deer Lodge Get-Away Club, and with her special "PLR family". Sincere thanks to the nurses and staff on 5E at St. Boniface Hospital who let Mom leave this world with compassion and loving care that she so well deserved. In lieu of flowers, donations in Moms memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
