MICHAEL (MIKE) KRAWCHUK May 16, 1918 - April 30, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Mike Krawchuk, at the Health Sciences Centre, with family by his side. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 56 years Olga; three children, Raymond (Florence), Marilyn (Nabil), and Blaine (Arlene) and son-in-law Jake; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two brothers, John and Pete; sister Anne; and many other relatives and friends. Mike was born in Brokenhead, MB and spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He was owner and manager of Norwood Cleaners, Jet Cleaners and Mrs. Mikes Ice Cream Stand. Since 1956, Mike and Olga enjoyed their winters South, golfing and dancing. He felt he was very fortunate to enjoy a long and happy retirement. The family wish to thank Dr. Leylek and his special nurse for all their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with funeral service on Saturday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m., also at the chapel. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mikes memory to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. 2248, Stn. Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. You never asked for favours, Yet you did them everyday. You never asked for any help, Yet you gave so much away. You never asked for gratitude, And yet, our whole life through Well be forever grateful, For your precious love and you. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

  • Marllyn and I were friends and she had a wonderful Father and family. They had a piano and taught me a tune or two. So sorry to hear about your Father. I had cancer and have been in remission. Feel free to contact me Marilyn. I know it’s been a long time but I never forgot you. Our deepest sympathy.
