RENE LEMOINE It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rene, our beloved spouse, father and grandfather on April 30, 2002. He was predeceased by his father Benoit and nephew Christian Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Gisele (nee Lemoine) son Gerard (Linda) and their children Matthew and Danielle; daughter Joanne (Paul Seel) and son Phillip; and mother Lucienne (Marcel Lamy). Rene is also survived by brother Fernand (Simone), sister Claire (Raymond Jolicoeur), brother Jean-Paul (Irene), sister Doris (Gerald Arnason), sister Juliette (Denis Lambert) and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed dearly by his sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous co-workers in the St. Vital School Division and many friends. Renes special smile and uplifting words touched many lives. Numerous cherished memories will be remembered of time spent at Rene and Giseles dream retirement home in St. Malo, where they enjoyed gardening, quiet walks, bird watching and time spent with family and friends. He really treasured spending time with his grandchildren, collecting rocks, campfires, and quiet times spent together... Rene, I remember the day I met you, The day God made you mine, Ill remember the day I lost you, dear And will till the end of time. With all the tears and heartaches, The one thing that makes me glad Is the day you chose me, To share with you the wonderful Years weve had. Theres no parting with those you love, No distance can divide. For today we still walk side by side. My thoughts are with you, Your place no one can fill, In life I loved you dearly, In death, I love you still. I know youll walk beside me, And when my life is through. I pray that God will take my hand, And lead me straight to you. Your loving wife, Gisele Renes strong faith and positive outlook of life gave him strength all of his life. Special thanks to Fr. Choiselat, Gerry and Carmelle Lafantaisie for their spiritual support and guidance. We did not know that morning What sorrow the day would bring, The bitter grief and shock severe To part with the one we love so dear. You bid no one a last farewell Gave no chance to say goodbye, You were gone before we knew it, Only God knows why. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. Though your smile is hidden now And your hand we cannot touch We will never lose the memory, Of the one we loved so much. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Marys Rd., on Friday, May 3, 2002. Private interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will never be enough words to give him the accolades he deserves. "We love you and we will miss you dearly".
