MARGARET CHRISTY (CHRIS) ROBINSON August 25, 1925 - April 30, 2002 It is with the deepest sorrow we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Chris Robinson on April 30, 2002 at the Minnedosa Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her loving and much loved husband of 53 years, Frank, on June 30, 2001; her parents William and Helen Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Nora, Wilf and Joan; brother Elmer; sister Sarah Phinney; and nephew Glen Phinney. Left to cherish her memory are her six children; Bruce, Sharon (Rodger) Leckie, Fran (Greg) Corbitt, Leslie (Larry) Bolonchuk, Lyle (Val), Colleen (Craig) Buss; grandchildren, Colleen (Jayson) Kowalchuk, Frances Bolonchuk, Mitchell Bolonchuk, Jesse Robinson, Riley Bolonchuk, Kelly Corbitt, Melissa Souch and Billy Souch and their father Bob; great-grandchildren, Brock Kowalchuk, Rackell Kowalchuk, Lara MacKenzie-Bolonchuk and Dylan Corbitt; sister Jean Kitchen; sister-in-law Sylvia Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ross and Betsy Robinson, Ivan and Roxy Robinson, Carl and Joyce Robinson; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Medi Hince; sisters-in-law, Sadie Woloshen and Gloria Robinson; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Victor, Orville and Dennis this past 10 months for their kindness. Moms happiest times were spent with her family on their weekend visits at the farm. She loved the outdoors and as a youth was well known as one of "Rossburns" best ball players. After her two year service with the WRENS, the City of Regina offered her a "few and far between job" if she would play baseball for their City Team. Family commitment kept her home but her knowledge of all sports was well known throughout family and community. A graveside service will be held at the Scandinavia Cemetery on Saturday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch to follow at Erickson Legion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8 or to a charity of ones choice. When the golden sun is setting And the earth no more is trod May your name be written In the autograph of God. We, the children of Chris, are thankful for the years we had with Mom and know how fortunate we were to have had such a wonderful Mother and Father. Sparrow Funeral Services in care of arrangements.
