RENE LEO MORIN Rene died peacefully and very suddenly, on Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at the age of 58 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Dominique and Simone; and by his brother Maurice. Rene grew up in Fort Garry and started work at Westons Bakery at a very early age, where he remained until retiring early in 1997. Rene is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jackie (Harvey) his daughter Renee; son Barry and granddaughter Sarah; son Kevin (Josie) and granddaughters, Stephanie, Briana and Brittany, and children, Scotty (Laurie), Tammy (Tim), granddaughter Taigan. Also left to mourn are his six sisters and two brothers, Cecile Wery and Alice (Morris) Van Overbeck, both of Kelowna, BC, Agnes (Ted) Okepnak of Winnipeg, Marguerite (Gordon) Barton of Anola, MB, Yvette Filbey of Vancouver, Lorraine (Brian) Tischynsky of Winnipeg, Jerry (Violet) Morin of Vancouver, Nick (Shirley) Morin of Calgary; and many nieces and nephews. Rene will be lovingly remembered by all of his family and his many friends for the laughter he brought to our hearts. Funeral service to be conducted by Rev. Victoria Shaw on Monday, May 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Because of him our own small world will never be the same And all our hearts are filled with love when people speak his name But though his face may not be seen among us here today His love is felt in all the hearts he changed along the way.
