SIDNEY JAMES HAMIT On Thursday, May 2, 2002 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB, Sidney James Hamit, aged 93 years, beloved husband of the late Nellie Hamit of Carman, formerly of Elm Creek. Sidney was predeceased by his wife Nellie in 1989. He is survived by on son Tom (Heather) Hamit of Winnipeg, and their children, Sheri (James), Amber (John) and Bonnie (Darryl) and one daughter Margaret (Doug) Pogson of Crystal City and their children, Ryan and Kerry. Sidney is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Isa Juhl, Eleanor Porter and numerous nieces and nephews. Sidney was predeceased by one brother and two sisters of England. Funeral service will be held from the Elm Creek United church in Elm Creek, MB, on Monday, May 6, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will take place in the Elm Creek Cemetery. A public viewing will take place at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman on Sunday May 5, at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Carman Handi-Van Memorial Fund, Box 128 Carman, MB, R0G 0J0.
