JOHN LASCHUK John Laschuk, 78, of Duluth, formerly of Winnipeg, Canada and Lake Minnetonka, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, in Lake Haven Manor. He was born in Poland to Alexander and Pauline Laschuk on July 6, 1923. His family immigrated to Canada, and in 1959 he became a U.S. Citizen. He lived in Florida and Minneapolis before moving to Duluth in 1997. He retired from Sears in 1989 where he worked in the shipping and receiving department. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Sophie. He is survived by two sisters, Lillian Guzda of Duluth and Ann Bilan of Winnipeg; a brother, Walter (Betty) Laschuk of Winnipeg; two nieces, Lisa (Mark) Vogel of Duluth and Diane Delorme of Thunder Bay; three nephews, Donald (Martha Wolf) Guzda of Culver, MN, Brian Laschuk of Winnipeg and Alan (Cheryl) Laschuk of Winnipeg; many great nieces and nephews; his former wife, Helen Laschuk of Minneapolis; special friends, Dick and Arlene Stenson of Florida. Services and burial will take place at a later date in Minneapolis. Arrangements by Bell Brothers Funeral Directors - Duluth, MN.
