ANASTASIA (ANNA) LATKOVICH (nee SAMELS) February 9, 1908 - May 2, 2002 Peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2002, Anna, aged 94 years, passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge. Anna is survived by her daughter Shirley Shiels; sons, Larry and Nick Latkovich; son-in-law Marvin Delorme. She is also survived by granddaughter Rosalie (Don) Grant (nee Delorme) grandsons, Rod (Sue), James (Brenda), and Dan. Anna also leaves to mourn her great-grandchildren, Justin and Krystle Grant, Kyla, Jeremy and Zachary Delorme, Reeanne and Jenna Nemeth. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, and her daughter Jacqueline. Anna was born in Portage la Prairie, where she lived on a farm just outside of the city, until the family moved to Winnipeg. Anna had a great passion for life, and the love and support she gave to everyone throughout her life will surely be missed. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Fred Douglas Lodge. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie.
