JEAN HOWELL (nee FRADETTE) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife, mother and grandmother, Jean Howell on May 3, 2002 at the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital. Jean was born on August 17, 1939 in . She leaves behind to remember her, husband Fred; her Winnipeg5constant companion Pebbles; her four boys, Terry (Monica), Les (Alenka), Russell (Tracey), Gary and friend Ivan; grandchildren, Meghan, Elizabeth, Julianne, Thomas and Samantha. Known as "Mom" to the many students that passed through the Steinbach Regional High School, she will be sadly missed by them all. Thanks to Les and Claire Cordingley for their constant support throughout her illness. Thanks also to Kim and Ray Neufeld for many years of friendship. Thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch No. 190, for all the kind thoughts and well wishing. A special thanks to the Oncology Departments in Steinbach and Winnipeg. The care she was given in the Palliative Care Ward, and by the homecare nurses was exceptional. A special thanks to Pastor Larry Hirst for the many hours of comfort he provided us all. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 1:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel, No. 12 Hwy. South in Steinbach, with Pastor Larry Hirst officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach, 204-326-1351.
