PHILIP MALCOLM On Thursday, May 2, 2002, Philip Malcolm went to be with the Lord. Philip leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 43 years, Gladys of Ebb & Flow; his children; Phyllis and husband Larry Racette of Ebb & Flow, Kingsley and wife Marie Paul of Lake Manitoba, Raymond of Winnipeg, Marcella and husband Ron Vandal of Ebb & Flow, Francine and husband Guy Paul of Ebb & Flow, Mervin and wife Melissa of Ebb & Flow, Laverne of Winnipeg. Philip raised two grandchildren as his own, Tammy and Shantel Malcolm. There are 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Theresa Houle of Ebb & Flow, Rose-Marie Wilson of Calgary, AB, Pearl of Burnaby, BC, Janice Flett of Surrey, BC, Antonia of Calgary, AB, Stewart and wife Joan of Ebb & Flow, Robert and wife Jean of Ebb & Flow, Jo-Anne and husband Roger Mentuck of Ebb & Flow, Loretta and husband Lester Sinclair of Little Saskatchewan, Randy and wife Brenda of Ebb & Flow, Amanda and husband Kelly of Ebb & Flow; his in-laws, Mary Mousseau of Ebb & Flow, Ida Mancheese of Ebb & Flow, Alma (Freddie) Kirkness of Ebb & Flow, George (Verna) Mancheese of Ebb & Flow, Mary (Nelson) Richard of Winnipeg; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Philip was predeceased by his parents, James in 1988 and Rosine in 1996,; his daughter Felicia in 1988; his sisters, Annie in 2000, Rosalie and Gertrude; his brother, Joseph; his grandchildren, Ron Vandal Jr. in 1980 and twin girls Amy-Jean and Annie Marie Vandal in 1979. Philip loved to pray. Following the death of their daughter Felicia in 1988, Philip and Gladys developed a deep love for God. There was not a day that passed since then that they didnt pray. They were well known for their singing talent and always went to sing wherever they were invited to do so. He will be sadly missed. Wake and Prayer Services will be held on Sunday May 5, beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the residence of Gladys Malcolm, Ebb & Flow, MB. Funeral service for Philip will be held on Monday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Ebb & Flow, MB. Fr. Reynold Omictin will officiate with the interment following in the Ebb & Flow Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Michael Houle, Leslie Maytwayashing, Nelson Richard, Robert Malcolm, George Mancheese, and Darrell Mousseau. All of Philips friends, especially those in the Ebb & Flow Prayer Group and the Ebb and Flow Church Choir are to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste.
