CUBBY ANDERSON May 21, 1934 - May 8, 2002 Peacefully on May 8, 2002 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Cubby Anderson, aged 67 years, of Fairford, MB, went home to be with his Lord. Cubby was a brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Lily of 49 years; his children, Riley (Beverly), Myrtle (Derrick), Marion (Alvin), Marvin (Wanda), Olive (Gene), Oliver, Doreen, Freda, Bradley, Nester (Monica), Norma (Stewart) and Nadia; grandchildren, Stanford (Doris), Loretta (Kevin), Kyle, Stephen, Aaron, Stephanie, Chris, Reeva, Marvin Jr., Clayton (Miranda), Denise, Keith, Tanya, Carly, Jonathan, Brett, Brandy, Ivory, Derrick, Darren (whom Cubby raised as his own), DeMerrick, DeMerriss; as well as 12 great-grandchildren; sister Bertha; brothers, Edward (Myrtle) and Joe (Ruth). Cubby was predeceased by his father-in-law John James Sinclair; parents, Alex and Isabella; brothers, Steve and David; sisters, Mary and Christina; also his son Alex in infancy. Cubby was born on May 21, 1934 in Berens River. He started serving the Lord as a young man. He loved to travel to attend gospel meetings. Cubby was a family man who took time to enjoy his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cubby worked as a school bus driver for many years. He then went on to be a medical transport driver for 19 years. He loved being outdoors and would often join the children in whatever game was being played. Cubby had a good sense of humour and will be sadly missed. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Berrows and the nursing staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern. Also the Chief and Council of Fairford First Nation. Wake services will be held on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, MB with Pastor Wilfred Bruce officiating.
