Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE MAUD TULLY (RICHARDSON) Bea passed away peacefully, Monday, March 4, 2002 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Tully in 1991, her brothers, Fred and Ted, sister Frieda, nephew Herbert and great-nephew James. Bea is the dearly beloved stepmother of Donna Mae Yeo, of Winnipeg, and Daphne Jackson (Dale) of Stayner, ON. "Grandmother" to Jennifer Yeo Paracholski (Bruce), Christopher Yeo (Angie), Kim Van Schoonhoven (Tony), Brenda Chapman (Bart), Scott Jackson (Patty), Todd Jackson and Tracey Brown (Chris). "Great-grandmother" to Hannah; Ethan and Ryann; Ashley and Erin; Tyler, Hailey, Shaelene and Brieann; Carly and Tully; Kyra; Madison and Alysha. We have been blessed to have her in our family. Bea is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Ward and nieces, Joan Bowman (Jack), Eleanor Richardson (Bob), all of Brentwood Bay, BC and Betty Inksetter of Roberts Creek, BC; nephew Ted Richardson (Sylvia) of Ashstead, Surrey, England and niece Ruby Richardson of Grand Blanc, Michigan; great-nieces and nephews, Brian and Scott Bowman, Mahlon, Elizabeth, Katherine and Jonathan Inksetter, Gail Perry and David Richardson. Bea was born in Croydon, England, in 1902 and immigrated with her family to Winnipeg at the age of nine. She worked for Dawson Richardson Publications and then enjoyed a distinguished business career with Sanford Evans Statistical Services from which she retired as Secretary-Treasurer in 1967. She married a former business colleague, Fred Tully, in March of that year. Together, they spent the next 20 years filled with adventure, travelling to many countries around the world. They shared their favourite pastime, lawn bowling with friends, during the winter in Laguna Beach, CA. Bea was a founding member of the Winnipeg Toastmistress Club and served on numerous community boards including the YWCA, the United Way and was President of the Age and Opportunity Bureau. She was an active member of the Manitoba Lawn Bowling Association and a Life Member of the River Heights Lawn Bowling Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts and she volunteered as treasurer for the Handicraft Guild of Manitoba. Her Christadelphian faith meant much to her and gave her great comfort throughout her life. She was a kind and thoughtful person who was greatly admired by all who knew her. Her wonderful sense of humour helped her cope with lifes ups and downs and made her a delight to be around. Bea was blessed with many good friends whose visits, phone calls and letters were so dear to her heart. Her family and friends will miss her. Many thanks to the caregivers who have shared their gifts and friendship with her over the past ten years, especially Glenda, Sheila, Cathy and Christine. A memorial service in celebration of Beas life will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Services will be conducted by Mr. J.J. Jackson of the Christadelphian Ecclesia of North Battleford, SK. Interment and reception will follow.
