ANDRENA (ANGELINA) BERENS Peacefully on May 9, 2002, with her children by her bedside, Andrena (Angelina) Berens passed away at the age of 69 years. She was born in Berens River, MB, on December 13, 1932. In 1971 Andrena and her children moved to Winnipeg and resided there until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Eliza Berens; one son Alfred; sisters, Bertha, Lillian; and brother Dick; her grandson Ernest Berens Jr. Andrena is survived by her nine children, Darlene (Carl), Mike (Darlene), Marlene (Lloyd), Emily (George), Ernest (Erica), Rene, Claudette, Rhonda (Irvin), Wayne (Brenda) 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sister Harriet Bittern (Donald) numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wake services will be held at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Saturday, May 11, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 12, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service Monday, May 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, Clergy Pastor Cornish. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: Robert Ross, Clovis Bittern, Perry Baptiste, Shawn Withawick, Fabian Berens, Vincent Berens, Jason Berens, Justin Berens. Honourary Pallbearers: J.C. Campbell, Shaye Withawick, Mikey Berens, William Berens, Raymond Bittern, Donald Bittern. Youll forever be in our hearts, till we meet again. Well miss you Mom and Granny. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at services.
