Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ROSALIE JOHANNESSON On Wednesday, May 8, 2002, Margaret Johannesson, beloved wife of Asgeir (Joe), passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 84. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband Alex Stagg (1975), second husband Clifford Cooke (1984), by her son Garry, and brother Bill Welling. Lovingly remembered by daughter Mickey Kojima, she also leaves her brother Doug (Esther) Welling; sisters, Betty Taylor, Phyllis Winfield, Ruth Lucan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Left to cherish her memory are five grandsons, Jay, Dean (Sharla) and Tad Kojima, Michael and Jeffrey Stagg. Margaret worked for several years at Red River Co-op (Ellice & Wall) and then at The Manitoba Clinic before becoming a "Snowbird" and spending many enjoyable winters in Weslaco, TX. She organized a "girls" Kitchen Band complete with clown costumes which she sewed herself. The band entertained special needs children. Margaret spent her summers at the cottage at Wanasing Beach which she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 13 at 2:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses on the 4th floor, Palliative Care at the Grace Hospital for all the kindness and care given to Margaret.
