Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN FRANCES SPENCER (nee IND) On Friday, May 10, 2002, Frances passed away peacefully at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1986. Fran is lovingly remembered by her sons, Bill (Rita) of Ottawa, Terry (Diane) of Regina, Jim (Dianne) of Winnipeg, and daughter, Carol of Winnipeg; five grandchildren, William (Anouk), Jason (Nadia), Erin (Mark), Andrew, Lisa; three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Sarah and Cole; and by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Fran was born December 22, 1919 in Galt, ON. She was brought up in southern Ontario and grew up mainly in Toronto. She met her husband, Bill, during the Second World War and they moved to Calgary after the war. In 1946 they took up farming and moved to Altamont, MB to live and raise their family for 28 years. In 1974 the family had grown up and Mom and Dad decided to move to Winnipeg. Mom worked at Zellers for many years making numerous friendships both there and through the Order of the Eastern Star. She spent her leisure time enjoying the company of family and friends, quilting, and travelling. On Tuesday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m., Frans funeral service will be held in St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
