Tom was a proud veteran of The Second World War serving in the Royal Canadian Navy and was a long-standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Elmwood Branch #9. After the war, Tom returned to his employment at Burns Foods where he worked for 48 years. He was an avid sports fan and a participant in his youth. As well, in later years he loved to spend time at the cottage at Hillside Beach surrounded by his family. One of Toms endearing assets was his wonderful sense of humour, which can be attested to by many, even at the end of his illness. If you were not quick and paying attention, you missed some good one liners! "T. Brough" will be greatly missed by many good friends and all who were lucky enough to know him. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge for their wonderful and dedicated care. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m. in Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. with Rev. Peter Cain officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0L3 or a charity of your choice. We love you Tommy, Dad and Poppa.
