ROBERT (BOB) ANDREW FETTERLY Peacefully and surrounded by family, Robert Fetterly passed away suddenly, early Sunday, May 12, 2002. The second son of Leonard and Chrissie Fetterly, Bob was born April 23, 1937, in Winnipeg, MB and grew up in Millbrook, attending Millbrook School. Left to cherish his memory are wife of 42 years, Kathy; daughters, Lisa (Wayne Emond), Sandy (Mike Leitch), Michelle (Glen Kurahashi) and Barb (Joey Rodrigues) grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashley Emond, Kyle and Samantha Kurahashi and Kaitlyn and Kyla Rodrigues; brother Ronald (Anne) and brother-in-law Steve (Diane) Boriskewich; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and life long friends. He was predeceased by his mother in 1979 and father in 1991. His work evolved around construction, truck driving and his main passion, farming. After retiring from the Dept. of Highways in 1994, he couldnt stop working and took up his farming passion by working for Johnson Agro and Farm, working with the big equipment he always dreamed of. He spent his rest time watching baseball on TV and attending Goldeyes games. If there were no games available, he loved to fish, snowmobile and attend farming expositions. He loved to watch his grandchildren grow and looked forward to their visits, especially for Sunday dinners and Christmas. When he missed them or could not see them, he made sure to phone them just to talk. If you have a favourite picture of Bob, please bring it to the service. Bob will be dearly missed by his family, close friends and all those who had the opportunity to meet or know him. Viewing will be held Tuesday, May 14 (tonight) from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral service to follow on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. also at the chapel. Burial at Millbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kin Place Personal Care Home Volunteer Group, 689 Main St., Oakbank, MB R0E 1J0 or to a charity of ones choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
