DONALD ROBERT ANGUS HUGHIE WHITTAL It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of our dear father and grandfather at the age of 63, on May 12, 2002. He is lovingly remembered by daughters, Charlene and Michelle (Rob) granddaughters, Jennifer, Rebecca and Emily; loved and dearest friend Marie and many close friends will miss his kindness and laughter. Our father was born in Winnipeg and his childhood was spent in Ninette, MB. Over the years, our father was employed as a teacher in Ninette, Hadashville and Winnipeg. He later continued his education and became an engineer and was employed at Winnipeg Arena, Winnipeg Hydro, Boni-Vital Pool and upon his retirement in 1997, gave service at 555 Ellice Place. Many thank yous to Victoria General Hospital 3rd floor staff for comforting our family, Dr. Jain, Dr. Jayakamar; nurses, Marie, Karen, Gail and Craig and the familys little angel with wings, Mrs. Gracie, Pastor Long for his kind words and prayers with our father. In lieu of flowers, friends who so wish may make memorial donations directly to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 0C8. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and there will not be a formal funeral service. A reception to celebrate his life for family and friends will be held at Coutu Funeral home on Friday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. You were fun loving, courageous and strong ... We love you "Gramps".
