FREDERICK (JAKE) KENT Peacefully and surrounded by his family on Monday, May 13, 2002 at the Pine Falls Health Complex, Pine Falls, MB. Fred Kent, aged 54 years, beloved husband of Lillian Kent of Little Black River, MB, left us to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife Lillian; children, Sheldon (Roberta), Darren (Rhoda), Ashley (Carm), Pamela (Russell), Matthew (Marsha), Crystal, Christine (Terry), Beverly and Talia; as well as 12 grandchildren; also surviving are sisters, Florence, Lillian, Harriet (Ambrose), Margaret (Gilbert) as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Agnes Kent; niece Carol Bouboire; and a brother-in-law Rene Spence. Wake services will be held beginning Tuesday at the Little Black River Community Centre. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. George Anglican Church, Little Black River, MB, with Rev. Nancy Bruyere, Rev. Andrew Sinclair and Richard Bruyere officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darren Kent, Timothy Bird, Donovan Kent, Stanley Dorie Jr., Farley Bird and Clarence Bunn. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Meade and Hank Williams. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the Pine Falls Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Fred during his stay; it will not be forgotten.
