Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON EDWARD MCNABB It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Gordon McNabb, much loved husband of Marlene, at the St. Boniface General Hospital on May 13, 2002, after a brief battle with cancer. Gordon was born in Ignace, ON, January 3, 1925. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War and was a life and charter member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 168 Ignace, ON. He was employed by C.P. Rail for 42 years and enjoyed 17 years of retirement. He loved spending time at the cottage in Ignace, fishing, reading, gardening (especially tomatoes) and his winter break to Hawaii. He will be lovingly remembered by wife Marlene; daughter Leslie Stempnick (Phil) sons, Gordon (Marlene), Stuart (Ellen) grandchildren, Shanna Wilton (Jody), Tracy and Melissa Stempnick, Ryan, Haley, Sharla and Spencer McNabb, Alex and Carlyn McNabb; great-granddaughters, Kira Wilton, Leyah Fehr Stempnick; sister Betty Muncaster; brother Don McNabb (Katie), Cheryl Manchulenko; uncle Joe McNabb, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Gladys McNabb; in-laws, Charles and Agatha Smith; brother-in-law Allen Muncaster; and great-nephew Curtis Manchulenko. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Lorne Meisner officiating. A private family interment will take place in Ignace at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
