ANN ALEXANDRUK Peacefully, after a battle with cancer, Ann Alexandruk (nee Baraschuk) passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on May 14, 2002 at the age of 80. Ann was born in Marbleridge, MB on May 28, 1921, and moved to Winnipeg at a young age. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Alexandruk; her brothers, Peter and John Baraschuk; sister Julie Kurdziel; and her son-in-law Matija Zerdin. Ann will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her daughter Patricia Zerdin and her son Albert Alexandruk and wife Heather; her four grandchildren, Joseph (Holly), Cindy (Robert), Amber and Holly; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Riley and Alexandria. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and close friends. Ann was a warm-hearted, caring person. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed outings with the YMCA Seniors Club. She loved spending time at the cottage, building many fond memories with all her grandchildren and was always up for a boat ride. Thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for all their kindness. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Research Foundation or to CancerCare Manitoba. "Mom, we all love you and will miss you dearly."
