Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY BARBARA ATCHISON Dorothy Barbara Atchison passed away May 13, 2002 at the age of 84 years. Dorothy was born in Pipestone, MB, July 30, 1917. She was the eldest of three children born to Bert and Edith Atchison of Findlay, MB. She attended school at Findlay. Finishing school, she remained at home on the farm for a time. In war time she was employed in an ammunition factory in Toronto, ON and remained there until the war ceased. Later she moved west working at Lake Louise, AB, then returning home and moving to Winnipeg, working at the University of Winnipeg. She also worked as hostess at Old Swiss Inn. She was a member of the Ladies Legion Auxiliary, Virden. She leaves to mourn her brother Wilbert and wife Lillian of Brandon, MB. Predeceased by brother Henry. Surviving are four nieces, Arlene and Tully Hatch, Oak Lake, MB, Linda and Del Hunter, Brandon, MB, Judy and Bill Berry, Brandon, MB, Shelley and Raymond Mispelon, Reston, MB; sister-in-law Daisy Atchison, Virden, MB and best friend Irene Nelson, Virden, MB. Memorial service will take place at Pipestone Cemetery, Saturday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brenda Ferguson attending the service. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel Ltd., Virden in care of arrangements.
