Offer Condolences or MemoryANI DeFEHR Anna Schuschpanow (Hiebert) Ani DeFehr passed away suddenly on May 14, 2002. She was born on the October 24, 1922 in Alexandrodar (Stawropol) Kaukasus, Russia. In 1978, Ani moved to Canada to marry Albert Abram DeFehr. On May 14, 1998, A.A. DeFehr passed away leaving Ani to do what she did so well, care for her many family members, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ani has been the tie that bound her family together, celebrating important events and sharing her gifts of good meals, friendship and prayer. Her Christian convictions were a daily driving force in her life, and were a great comfort to her. She strongly believed that God honoured a life rooted in faith and obedience, and looked to Him for guidance throughout her life. Her faithfulness and strong willed life will forever be an example for us all. Though she experienced many great losses in her life, she chose to dwell on the good that was around her. Ani had a great sense of humour, and loved to laugh. Her recent life was filled with her laughter and ours, and this is how many of us will remember her. Her memory will remain with son Frank (Agnes), and their children, Richard (Charlotte) and their children, Kristy, Mitchell and Austin, Andy (Leona) and their children, Julia and Grace, Joanne (Martin) their child Feiko; son Arthur (Leona) and their children, Shanti (Dan) and their child Leo, Tara (Peter) son David (Ester) and their children, James (Heidi) their children, Alexander and William, Michael (Elaine) and their children, Cayman and Jasmine; daughter Irene (Gerry) Loewen and their children, Shannon, David and Daniel; niece Anna (Alexei) Pachnin and their children, Anton and Artchem. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, Springfield and Gateway, with interment in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Viewing at the church prior to the service. If friends desire, donations may be made to Family Life Network, 225 Riverton Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 0N1. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
