JOSEPH PAWLYK Peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at St. Boniface General Hospital, Joe Pawlyk passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 87. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Emily; his three children, John (Liz), Linda Small (Steven) and Mel (Leslie) grandchildren John Jr., Brandine, Curtis, Kevin, Tianna and Cassie; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Justine, Cameron, Coleby, Jacob, Brayden and Nathan. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Thomas Pawlyk; his sisters, Anne and Mary, his brothers, John, Bronyk and Stanley. Joe was born on March 24, 1915 in Fisher Branch, MB. Dad spent most of his life farming but his greatest joy was woodworking and playing his fiddle. Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be held on Monday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Services will be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fisher Branch, MB on Tuesday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined. Should friends desire, donations can be made to St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care, Unit 8A-409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg. MB R2H 2A6.
