OREST WALTER SKINKOWAY With great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Orest Walter Skinkoway on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 52. Orest leaves to cherish his memory his children, Christina and Andrew; and Irene, the mother of his children; his mother Olga Skinkoway; his brother and sisters-in law; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. He also leaves to mourn many relatives throughout Manitoba and the United States. He was predeceased by his father Nicholas in 1990; his grandfather (Gigi) in 1981; and grandmother (Baba) in 1965. Dad was born on Sunday, June 19, 1949, and raised in Winnipeg. He was employed at Versatile Manufacturing, and Standard Aero as a Quality Control Technician throughout his lifetime. At Orests request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Rev. Deacon Nicholas Kohuch officiating. Orest will be laid to rest privately at All Saints Cemetery, in his fathers grave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Orests memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Suite 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
