Born: Dec 20, 1905
Date of Passing: May 16, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MAY SISSON (nee MORET) December 20, 1905 - May 16, 2002 Heaven is rejoicing! Surrounded by angels, a "Lady", Kathleen, has returned Home! She was predeceased, in 1995, by both her husband Murray (Poppa) and son Paul (Gufty). She was the last of nine siblings. Kathleen is survived by daughters, Jeanne Twa (Ernest), Laure Salo (Bill) daughter-in-law Marilyn; and sister-in-law Margaret Anderson. Kathleens family was her pride and joy. Nana (Zoo) was loving and attentive to her precious grandchildren, Diane (David Cleland), Charmaine (Richard Walker), Murray, Joseph, Ronald (Brenda-Lee) and Paul Sisson; Paul (Tanice) and Garth Twa; Murray (Wendy), Gerald (Irene), Donna (Wayne Campbell), Timothy (Darcy), Gregory and Allen Salo; and 19 great-grandchildren. With deep abiding faith, informed by Scripture, Worship and Prayer, Kathleen lived her spirituality, through concerned kindness and unselfish generosity toward all, especially the weak and vulnerable. She loved babies, and was active in Brownies, Guides and CWL. The family moved often, but Nana was always active in community, and made a warm, hospitable home, in which all who visited felt welcomed and cherished. When young, she loved basketball, skating (to a band, of course). Books were her "silent" friends, though lately glaucoma made reading impossible. Nana enthusiastically organized many "Any Occasion" parties for the children at Macara Lake cottage. She was very "Hep", fascinated by modern technology, eager to experience new dance crazes and all new fangled things. Often heard saying: "I get things bass-ackwards. Purple is my favourite colour. Whatever happened to that _? Are you a sloppy eater? Must be the bulb. Blessed be the Peacemaker. Oh Murray! How does that work? Whats your favourite _?" Family are grateful for the loving care provided by all Meadowood Personal Care Home staff. We know she lives in the gentle embrace of our God, and trust, in faith, that we will see her again in Gods Home. God is faithful! Vigil will be on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. Both at Christ the King Parish, 847 St. Marys Rd. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Highway 1 East. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
