Born: Apr 11, 1924
Date of Passing: May 15, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABEL REILLY STEWART (nee ARTHUR) April 11, 1924 - May 15, 2002 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Isabel Stewart on May 15, 2002 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Isabel leaves to mourn her son Jack (Annette) granddaughters, Rhonda, Rachel, Rebecca; two great-grandchildren, Alycia and Joel; brothers, George (Ellen), Gordon (Betty), Mathew (Iris), Edward (Barbara) sisters, Ester, Betty (Bill), Christine (Harry) and numerous nieces and nephews. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Andrew Stewart on January 23, 1999; also by her parents, John and Christine Arthur. Andrew, Isabel and Jack immigrated to Canada in 1958 from Scotland. Isabel worked at Health Sciences Centre until her retirement. Loving and caring for her family was Isabels primary concern. She and Andrew were a deeply loving couple who enjoyed life and family traditions. Isabels other enjoyments came from her garden and flowers. She loved to putter around her rock garden and flower beds, growing the most beautiful flowers and plants, as in your garden the care and loving will sadly be missed by all your family. Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Kildonan Community Church, 2573 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church hall. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens will follow. Special thanks to the family members and Minister Brenda Fraser and members of the church for their help and comfort in this time of sorrow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Isabels name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. O Love That Will Not Let Me Go O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in Thee; I give Thee back the life I owe, That in Thine ocean depths its flow May richer, fuller be. O Light that followest all my way, I yield my flickring torch to Thee; My heart restores its borrowed ray, That in Thy sunshines blaze its day May brighter, fairer be. O Joy that seekest me thru pain, I cannot close my heart to Thee; I trace the rainbow thru the rain, And feel the promise is not vain That morn shall tearless be. My heart will forever ache with saddness of your passing. I wish you were there for the birth of my children. Being the wonderful grandma that you were, they will surely miss out. You taught me so much, and loved me no matter what. I hope to one day be half the woman you were. - Posted by: Rebecca Bollegraf (grandaughter) on: Nov 03, 2012
