STELLA PETERS (nee WIZBICKI) December 27, 1920- May 17, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stella Peters, at Seven Oaks Hospital after a long battle with Parkinsons disease. Mom was many things to many peoplea wife, mother, grandmother, loving friend and confidante. In whatever capacity, we knew her to be gentle, warm, loving, caring, non-judgmental and humble. These common threads were woven from the strands of service to others before herself. Moms greatest pleasures in life were in helping others and in always keeping herself active. She loved bowling, cribbage, gardening, and cooking, not necessarily in that order. She leaves to mourn her loving children, Gail (Fred) Shlanda, Verna (Peter) Giesbrecht, Larry (Patricia) Peters, Ray Peters (Bonnie Chomiak) son-in-law Dennis Lussier; grandchildren, Paula, Cheryl, Charlene, Diane, Jeremy, Jessica, Kevin, Heather, David; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Mike Wizbicki; sisters, Angela (Nell) Bohonos and Jenny Fransen; and sister-in-law Joan Rooke. She was predeceased by her husband Art, daughter Joyce, and brother Victor. Many thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Nursing Home for all their care and compassion given to Mom. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the funeral home. A private interment service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
