Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHILLIP (PHIL) CLARENCE ALPORT It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of our friend, Phil, on May 11, 2002. Phil was born on June 18, 1946 in Kingston, ON. He spent many years living on the East Coast, where he worked in a variety of fields including mining and engineering. He came to Winnipeg in 1996 from Newfoundland, and was employed until the time of his death, as the Superintendent of Plant and Engineering for the City of Winnipeg Transit Department. Phil enjoyed talking with his friends, golfing, bowling, playing pool, reading and The Bombers. Phil was predeceased by his parents, Bob, in 1976, and Essie, in 1984. He is survived by his ex-wife, Shirley of Charlestown, PEI; his brother Harold Alport and family; wife Rose; and children, Harold Jr. and Crystal. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his many friends and co-workers, who will miss him greatly, as he touched us all. Cremation has taken place. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 24, at the Trent Legion on Trent and Brazier.
