Date of Passing: May 18, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTERESA HARLEY (nee DOWNEY) It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Terry, at the Grace Hospital on May 18, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her loving children Kerry, Ken (Georgina), Melissa (Rick) and Monica (Michael) will forever remember her. Also left to cherish her memory are her beloved grandchildren, Rebecca, Stefan, Scott, Bob, Chris, Jessy, Keltie, Brady, Ryan, Kassia, Iain, and Evan. Also left is special "daughter" Ruth. Terry was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Syl, Edna, and Marie; as well as her husband Bob McDonald and only two weeks ago, by her second husband George. Terry was born and raised in Winnipeg, attended the Immaculate Conception and St. Marys Academy. She worked as a dental assistant until she met her husband Bob and then devoted her life to her family. With her family grown Terry resumed a career with Dr. Neil McCaughey in the optical field. Her unwavering faith in the church led her to be actively involved in the C.W.L and the Munroe Social Club at St. Alphonsus Church. The greatest joy in her life was her family. Who could ever forget Sunday night roast beef dinners. She loved and was loved, nurturing us and filling our lives with warmth and caring. Her life lessons will continue to guide us. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. M.B. MacMillan and Rhonda, The CancerCare Clinic and very heartfelt special thanks to the staff on the fourth floor at the Grace Hospital, especially Yolanda and Sam, who cared for Mom so beautifully in her last days. A celebration of Terrys life will take place with a funeral mass at St. Alphonsus Church, 300 Monroe Ave., at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22. Prayers may be said prior to mass. Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101-191 Lombard, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 0X1. Mom, we love you with all our hearts. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
