ANGELA LINDA HOUSTON Peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2002, Angela passed on to her heavenly reward. She was born in Winnipeg on March 5, 1909, the eldest of nine. Angela was predeceased by her beloved husband William (Pat) Houston in 1990; parents, Herman and Aurelia Bucholz; and siblings, Roy, Alma, Elizabeth, Geraldine, Karl; brother-in-law Wade Gunter; and sister-in-law Pat Bucholz. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Maureen Zilinsky; son-in-law David; grandchildren, Tim (fiancee Deanne), Jamie, Jason (Chrissy) and Tamsyn (friend Craig). Also her precious great-granddaughter Brianna Zilinsky. She is also survived by her sisters, Freida Stevens of Abbotsford, BC, May Belle Buchholz of Selkirk, MB; and brother Barney Buchholz of Calgary, AB. Originally from Grahamdale, she married William (Pat) Houston in 1939 in Winnipeg. She was a hairdresser and homemaker. She enjoyed cards, especially Bridge, gardening, cooking, baking, hat-making, sewing, knitting, painting, pottery, and bowling. She was a member of the "Rock of Ages" lapidary club and a charter member of North Kildonan United Church. Her faith and her family were close to her heart. The family is grateful for the wonderful care given by all the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home. Thank you also to Kathy, Betty and Heather from North Kildonan United Church for their cheerful visits and gifts. According to Angelas wishes there will be no funeral. A private family service will be held on Monday, May 27 in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Mark Whitehead officiating.
