FRANK BOHNCKE (FRANCISCUS THEODORUS) Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Monday, May 20, 2002 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Frank Bohncke passed away at the age of 89 years. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Henry and Josie, Ted and Donna; grandchildren, Robert, Sherry, Dawn Marie and Edward; great-grandchildren, Jared, Michael, Elizabeth and Juliana; brother Joop; two sisters-in-law, Marie and Jeane; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Corry in 1975; brothers, Leen, Henk, Gerrit and Theo; sisters, Truus, Marie and Netje. Dads most compelling mission in life was to complete his responsibility as a provider for his family. For this reason he left his country of birth (The Netherlands) and came to Canada in 1952. He excelled in his studies in agriculture and spent most of his life working as a market gardener. His many talents, market gardening, construction, crafts, dedication to the church especially St. Theresas Parish, willingness to help neighbours or anyone in need (particularly during the difficult times of the war years), his strong faith, boundless energy, sense of humour, exemplary life style will continue to be an inspiration to his family and friends. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Theresas Church. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 24 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresas Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main St. with Msgr. Louis McCloskey officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Baker, Edward Bohncke, Robert Bohncke, Michael Fritschij, Stan Lundy and Josef Schilling. The family would like to thank the Holy Family Nursing Home, Middlechurch Home, St. Benedicts Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. Flowers graciously declined, if so desired, donations may be made in Franks memory to St. Theresas Roman Catholic Church Renovation Fund, 3597 Main St., West St. Paul, MB R4A 5A2.
