ANNE (UNGER) OLENICK Anne (Unger) Olenick was born on May 3, 1923, and died peacefully at home on May 19, 2002. Her family immigrated to Manitoba from Russia via Mexico in 1927, and moved to Ontario nine years later. In 1947, Anne returned to Winnipeg and worked for fourteen years with Human Resources at CBC Radio. She married Harry Olenick on September 1, 1969. Anne enjoyed traveling, loved animals, connected with people easily, and was a loyal sister, aunt, and friend. Three brothers, two sisters-in-law, and a niece predeceased Anne. Her husband, four siblings, and two sisters-in-law survive her. Donations may be made in Annes memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
