Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY WILLIAM (BILL) WALFORD 1923-2002 Passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital - McKellar Site on Saturday, May 18, 2002 with his family at his side. Survived by a sister Rose-Marie Arsenault; a brother Earl Walford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Nellie Walford; his father Frank Walford; four sisters, Florence Shavik, Jessie Holmes, Rita Tuttle, Violet Carpenter; and a brother Frank Walford. Bill was a war veteran in the Second World War and served in France. He lived in Hornepayne and moved to and retired in Benito, MB. He was employed as an engineer for the C.N.R. Bill enjoyed his Bingo and was an avid woodworker. His best friend was his dog "Blacky." Cremation has taken place. A Legion service will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 10:45 a.m. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Ave., Thunder Bay, ON P7E 1C8, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. for Henry William (Bill) Walford. Rev. Ed Long will officiate and interment will take place in the Military plot in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
