MARGUIRITE NELLIE YOUNG (nee DUNCAN) Peacefully, on Monday, May 20, 2002, with her family at her side at the Victoria General Hospital, our beloved mother, Marge Young joined hands with the angels as she made her final journey home. Predeceased by her loving husband Jim, parents, three brothers, three sisters, and many friends. Mom will be sadly missed and forever cherished by her three children, Duncan (Debbie), Bob (Marg), Dale (Richard) Baughman; and six grandchildren, Karen, Katharine, Krista, Callum, Kyle and Cheylene. Mom had a wonderful way of making people feel welcome in her life and enjoyed many long-lasting friendships because of this. She loved to spend time at her cottage at Grand Beach, to walk on the sand and to watch the sunset over the water. Mom loved to keep busy and rarely sat still without working on some knitting, crocheting or other craft for donation to the annual Craft Sale of the Golden Rule Seniors. We will miss her laughter, her gentle touch, her knowing smile and her generous abundance of love. We will always remember her thoughtfulness, humility and her strength of character. Mom was 85 years of age at the time of her passing. October 22, 1916 - May 20, 2002. The significance of the dates is the dash between the years. For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved her know what that little line is worth. For it matters not how much we own; the cars...the house...the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. We are proud to have been a part of your dash, Mom. May your love light the heavens until we meet again. A special thank you to Dr. Lee Cummings and the nursing staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassion and gentle understanding. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
