Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN DOUGHERTY MARSHALL (BRYCE) 1922 - 2002 Jean Dougherty Marshall (nee Bryce) beloved wife of the late James Marshall, of Calgary, passed away at the Southwood Care Centre on Tuesday, May 21, 2002, after a lengthy illness at the age of 80 years. Jean was born on February 1, 1922, in Millbrook, MB. She attended the Millbrook School. She lived in Transcona, MB, and then moved to Calgary, AB. She was employed as a secretary by Olympic Fine Meats, and attended the United Church. She was a member of the Elks Club, North Hill Ladies C.C. and the Bethany. She was an avid golfer, she achieved a hole-in-one after many years of dedicated effort. Any trip back to Manitoba was always a good vacation. She had a love of old time music and attended many a barn dance in her youth. Jean enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for golfing. One of Jeans passions in her life was playing with her grand-children. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Murray Marshall, Ron and Lori Marshall, all of Calgary; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Colin, Dylan, Darlene and Steven; great-granddaughter Monica. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Brook, Margaret Hondabura; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James Marshall; parents, Scotty and Jean Bryce; and a brother Bill Bryce. Thanks to the staff of unit 36 at the Foothills Hospital and to the Southwood Care Centre for their dedication to her care. Funeral services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS "Park Memorial Chapel", (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, May 25 at 3:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow at a later date.
