MORRIS OTTAWA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Morris Ottawa at the age of 57 on May 21, 2002, at the Vita District Health Center, Vita, MB. Morris is survived by his wife Lena, four step-children and two sisters, Elsie and Sally. He was predeceased by his parents. Morris loved country music and could dance the night away, especially with his older sister Elsie. He loved everything old ... old cars and antique radios. He was a mechanic at heart, able to fix anything not only with tools, but by the sound of his ear which lead him to work at Motor Coach Industries for 26 years. Morris loved the countryside and basked in it, in the small town of Gardenton where he and Lena shared their life. Generous with his time, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. Viewing will be will be held in the chapel of Vita Funeral Home, Thursday, May 23, 4:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday May 24, 10:30 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Gardenton, MB, with viewing one-half hour prior to service. Interment will take place in St. Michaels Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Cemetery in Gardenton. Pallbearers will be cousins and nephews. Special thank you to Dr. DeKlerk and Dr. Smith and all the nurses who took such good care of Morris in the short time he was there.
