EDMOND WEISS Peacefully passed away at his home on May 22, 2002, at the age of 94. Edmond is survived by son Kurt and Heather Cripps of Spruce Grove, AB, son Cyril and Lena Weiss of St. Andrews, MB; granddaughter Christine and Ron Mantik of Winnipeg; grandson Richard Weiss of St. Andrews, MB; granddaughter Kimberly and Chad Harmider of Spruce Grove, AB; grandson Wesley Cripps of Spruce Grove, AB; great-grandchildren, Darian and Jessica Cripps of Spruce Grove, AB, Eric and Nathan Mantik of Winnipeg, MB; brothers, Paul, Emil (Muriel), Jack (Helen) sister Mae; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn his passing are extended family members, Ernie and Donna Davidson and their children, Jennifer, Michael and Candice. Edmond was predeceased by his wife Reta; son Edward; parents, Jacob and Wilhelmina; brother Roy ; and sisters, Wanda and Dinah. He was born and raised in La Broquerie, MB. Edmond move to Winnipeg, met and married Reta, and together they raised their family. Edmond was self-employed as a carpenter for his whole career. In 1978 they retired to St. George, MB, where they lived until 2000 when they moved back to West Kildonan. Edmond had a great interest in hunting, fishing and gardening. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edmonds memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 10:00 a.m., with viewing one half hour prior, in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
